BATAAN, Philippines: Traveled for HEALING and FINDING MYSELF

“I had lots of work to do, had a not-so-open-minded boss, had no money, just can’t simply leave for a week untraced”; “I’m busy” and many other excuses resonating on my mind are making me hesitate to push through with going to this trip. Although I badly wanted to go, there’s a huge need for me to holistically prepare despite my wife’s constant persistence. Last year, I even had the opportunity to have the same experience for an extremely discounted price (for reasons I really don’t know) but I still refused out of not being really prepared enough. Again, imagine the horror of telling my boss that I’ll be gone…

The AEROLINE experience: a 6-hour bus ride from KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA to SINGAPORE

My very first international trip was way back 2012 going to Singapore with my family. I was still a student that time and I think this is what triggered me to say “yes” to going on adventures. I even thought of wanting to live here but didn’t materialized. Fast forward to 2017, I was able to go back to this amazing place with my beautiful wife and even repeated it recently past March of 2018. Contrary to my 2012 trip in which we arrived and departed at Changi Airport, my wife and I arrived in this country through a different approach… twice.   IS IT POSSIBLE? I remember a family friend based…

Your long and not-so friendly travel guide about KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA

I decided to accept the fate that I’ll make a terrible “budget traveler.” Also, that this blog weren’t be a primary source of those “traveling-here-and-there-in-a-budget” guides. On most of our travels ever since Quennie and I got married, we still miss out numerous places from the itineraries that I prepared. As for our actual expenses, they mostly inflated almost twice my estimated budget; to think that they’re mostly from the “travel guides” that I read. As a self-proclaimed miser myself and an “advocate” of cost-cutting (LOL!), it frustrates me most of the time. Same goes with myself wanting to visit as many places as possible whenever I’m in another place. But who knows? We…

REGALIA RESIDENCES and the rest of “Where to stay in KUALA LUMPUR?”

Few weeks before our flight to Kuala Lumpur earlier this year, my wife and I were still torn in choosing between staying at the hotel or booking a homestay thru AirBnB. No doubt that choosing the latter would mean lower prices. But, it doesn’t mean that it’s better than choosing hotels especially that the critical part in booking homestays are choosing which one could still be of quality, cozy, and convenient yet can still be within the budget since some photos are honestly deceiving. We’ve learned it from experience as that place we stayed in Singapore. Now let me tell you where we stayed in Kuala Lumpur… maybe you’ll choose it…

Exploring MALAYSIA’S BATU CAVES: finally but not “really”

“Let’s just go there quickly to explore other places.” I can still remember how Quennie and I talked about exploring the important places to explore in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We’re already on the city during that time, checked in at our temporary home; and the bedtime fast approaching. We could’ve had almost 3 days to explore the whole city before taking a bus going to Singapore. The original reason why I chose Monday morning as our flight. Arriving to the city early, we’ll have more time to explore especially those places that we’re not able to visit the last time we came here; at least on my thoughts. But as usual, it…
